3201 Can Eco-Drive Techniques Make Driving More Economically and Ecologically?

Recorded Presentations from the meeting are now available. A folder icon represents that recordings are available for at least one presentation in the session.

Purchasing Recording Access: ITS America is now offering the option to purchase whole meeting or track access to the recordings if you were not a full registered attendee of the meeting. Description of Paper:

Eco-drive means changing driving styles to be more economically and ecologically. However, regarding effects of the eco-drive, there are quite different research outputs from different studies. Furthermore, most of the previous studies have been based on computer simulations. It is necessary to propose really effective driving styles in order to promote the eco-drive. We conducted a group of test run on the public roads under the normal traffic conditions. This paper is to report the results of our studies and give our suggestions to promote the eco-drive.
