This presentation (paper) will provide an overview and recent enhancements of the Clarus system (A database management system for all surface transportation weather observations in North America) and Mobile Sensing – including IntelliDriveSM and the VDT (Vehicle Data Translator) that FHWA (the Federal Highway Administration) has developed that can help surface transportation users & managers respond to weather events with effective & efficient strategies and programs.
