East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd manages about 3,575 km of expressway and approximate400 interchanges in East Japan areas. The traffic density is about 2,500,000 cars per day. We,NEXCO East Engineering Co., Ltd, as the road maintenance and management specialist, takecharge of the maitenance work of communicative and architectural facilities in all these areasand electronic facilities in Kanto branch’s area of jurisdiction. Now wide-scale maintenancework is taking a large amount of staff and labor. In order to promote the efficiency ofwide-scale maintenance work, our company is going to introduce the Expressway AssetManagement Support System, which applies the RFID tag and QR code to manage hundredsof thousands equipments and machines and realizes the automation of inspection andmaintenance work.(This system is now under test)
